Ingredients

  • Tequila - 50ml
  • Tomato juice - 25ml
  • Orange juice - 10ml
  • Lime juice - 10ml
  • Tabasco - 2 dashes
  • Ground black pepper - 2 pinches
  • Salt - 1 pinch
  • Ice - 1 handful

Recipe

  1. Fill one shot glass to the brim with the tequila
  2. Fill a shaker with the tomato juice, orange juice, lime juice, tabasco, pepper, salt and ice.
  3. Shake until the shaker turns ice cold
  4. Pour into a second shot glass

Tips

  • A shaker is not explicitly needed, however makes sure all ingredients are well mixed as this is tricky to do in a shot glass.
  • The tequila should be drank before the sangrita shot which acts as the chaser.
  • Grenadine can be added to make the sangrita more sweet
  • Grapefruit can be added to make the sangrita more tart
