Ingredients
- Tequila - 50ml
- Grapefruit juice - 60ml
- Lime juice - 10ml
- Honey - 10ml
- Soda water - To fill
- Salt
- Ice - 2 handfuls
- Grapefruit (optional) - 1 Slice
Recipe
- Pour some salt onto a plate, wet the rim of the glass with lime juice and dip the rim in the salt to cover it.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with the tequila, juices, honey and ice then shake until the shaker feels ice cold.
- Add a handful of ice to the glass and then pour in the strained mixture.
- Top up with soda water and garnish with a slice of grapefruit.
Tips
- If you prefer a sweeter cocktail, use more simple syrup and cover the rim in granulated sugar
- Aged tequila is better for this drink, try to use reposada or añejo
- If you want a more authentic paloma, use agave syrup instead of honey
