Mai Tai

Description: A drink that tastes of pure paradise, a sweet and tropical tiki cocktail that encorporates 2 types of rum.

Origin: USA

• White rum - 50ml
• Dark rum - 15ml
• Lime juice - 25ml
• Orange liqueur - 25ml
• Almond liqueur - 15ml
• Grenadine - 10ml
• Crushed ice - 2 handfuls
• Mint (optional) - 1 sprig

1. Add the white rum, lime juice, orange liqueur, almond liqueur and crushed ice to a shaker
2. Shake lightly for a few seconds and pour the mixture unstrained into the glass
3. Top the drink off with the dark rum and then the grenadine. This should give the drink a cascading colour change.
4. Add the mint sprig to complete

• Make sure the crushed ice isn’t partially melted as this will water own the drink
• The drink can just be stirred in, however a quick allows the multiple flavours of the spirits and liqueurs to meld better
